The Faculty of Management, Law and Social Sciences, School of Management at the University of Bradford is looking for a dedicated individual to undertake the role of external examiner for the MBA Distance Learning module Digital Health and Informatics to commence as soon as possible.

The level 7 module Digital Health and Informatics is offered as an option on our Master of Business Administration suite of programmes.
Module Aims: Adopting an inter-professional, collaborative approach in order to prepare students to contribute to local, national and international strategies and policies. Students will identify and explore initiatives within their area of practice and critically appraise the planning, implementation and evaluation of these initiatives and/or outcomes.
Outline Syllabus: eHealth - what does it mean and why is it important?; Health informatics; Learning health systems; Patient eHealth; Research and Evaluation in eHealth; Challenges in eHealth including privacy and data governance; E-mental health; Electronic Health Records and Patient Access Portals; Cybermedicine.
An overview of your role and responsibilities includes:

  *   Confirming the comparability of standards of student performance at University of Bradford with those of similar modules at other UK Institutions of Higher Education; confirming that the assessment process in its entirety is sound, and has been fairly conducted with full regard to justice to students; reporting and advising on the above by means of approving coursework and examination papers and providing an annual report to the University.
  *   The appointee will be required to moderate a sample of work and submit an annual report.
  *   You will not hold more than two other UK Higher Education External Examiner post at the start of the contract and will be qualified to at least Master's level.
  *   The applicant needs several years of lecturing experience, supported by professional industry background. HEA Fellowship is highly recommended.
  *   The applicant should have appropriate expertise/experience in the areas of the Digital health and informatics, be able to undertake a role in the assurance of academic standards in Higher Education and should be aware of modern developments in the design and delivery of the flexible curriculum.
