Dear Colleagues,

We’d like to invite you to take part in our online professional development course for external examiners, and we are currently accepting bookings from aspiring, existing and experienced external examiners. This interactive, structured and tutor facilitated course has been developed as part of the Degree Standards project, which is led by Advance HE and managed by the Office for Students (OfS) on behalf of England and the devolved administrations in Northern Ireland and Wales. The course is currently free of charge.

To receive a completion certificate and have their name entered onto the Advance HE register of trained examiners, participants need to commit to completing all components of the online course, which runs over a period of 40 days (including weekends) and typically requires 4 to 6 hours of study each week, including participation in online forums. Previous course completers have rated the course extremely highly.

Please kindly note this course is only available for members of staff from higher education providers based in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
