FEATURED - Call for Expressions of Interest to Chair the OER 2021 Conference

We are seeking experienced Co-Chairs for the 2021 Conference Committee of the 12th annual conference for Open Education research, practice and policy. Announcing the next #OER20 featured speaker

This year the conference is going to have a number of featured speakers for our plenary sessions. Instead of traditional keynotes this year’s plenary sessions will have different formats and include more than one individual, inviting conversation and collaboration. ALT Annual Survey 2019 - Have your say

The ALT Annual Survey has now been run since 2014 and a number of questions around priority areas have remained unchanged providing an insight into how Learning Technology is used across sectors as well as identifying emerging trends in current a future practice. The Survey provides important insight into how our profession is developing and how our Members are progressing and developing in their professional practice. Call for presenters - "Technology-enhanced collaborative learning: Challenges & solutions”, 21 February 10-4 at ARU Cambridge

You're invited to share your practice of using learning technologies for collaboration and co-production at the next ALT East England event at ARU Cambridge on 21 February. We'd love to receive your submissions on synchronous & asynchronous editing, online group spaces, peer feedback, group and portfolio assessments, remote presenting or related topics. Based on feedback from previous events we've included longer time slots to facilitate discussion and sharing of ideas with colleagues from across the region. Call for Chapters: Cases on Active Blended Learning in Higher Education

Proposal Submission Deadline: February 22, 2020. Full Chapters Due: June 21, 2020

Active blended learning (ABL) is a pedagogical approach that combines sense-making activities with focused interactions in appropriate learning settings. It encompasses a variety of concepts, methods and techniques, such as collaborative learning, experiential learning, problem-based learning, team-based learning and flipped classrooms. Educators can use ABL to develop learner autonomy, engaging students in knowledge construction, reflection and critique. This collection of case studies on ABL will inspire and guide relevant stakeholders in higher education interested in implementing this approach. https://go.alt.ac.uk/34tS13D
