CFP - 4th IFAC Workshop on Advanced Maintenance Engineering, Services and Technologies: Maintenance in the Digital Era

Cambridge, UK, 10-11 September 2020

 

Invitation for contributed papers and invited sessions

 

The 4th IFAC Workshop on Advanced Maintenance Engineering, Services and Technologies (IFAC AMEST’20) will be will be held in Cambridge, UK from September 10 to September 11 2020. The workshop is sponsored by the IFAC Technical committee 5.1 and co-sponsored by the IFAC Technical committees 5.2, 5.3 and 6.4. The workshop is also supported by IFIP WG 5.7, ESRA and the PHM Society.

 

Please refer to the call for papers and invited sessions at the IFAC AMEST 2020 site for details about submissions. Journal paper publication opportunities associated with the workshop are mentioned below. 

 

The deadlines are: 
10th of January 2020 for Invited Session Proposals 

15th of January 2020 for paper submissions 

 

Submissions

Both papers and invited paper submissions should be done via the IFAC on line submission system for the event

 

Topics of Interest

The workshop will cover a broad range of research and application topics exploring the role of data-driven maintenance and asset management within the domains of manufacturing and infrastructure. The 4th IFAC AMEST’20 Workshop is seeking original papers on topics including the following (and related areas):

 

Invited Sessions

Please email the IPC chairs and organising chairs your invited session proposal, which should contain in a single page: 

1. Session title

2. Session organisers

3. Summary Statement with the motivation and relevance

4. Bullet points of topics of interest

In the email to the IPC chairs and workshop organisers please mention also the tentative title of each paper, along with a corresponding author. 

 

A minimum of 4 papers are normally expected to be assembled by the session organisers of each invited sessions. You are welcome to propose sessions with a different number of tentative contributions, in which case contributions may be added at a alter stage and the organisers reserve the right to assign, based on thematic relevance, more papers to the session, or expand the session to two sessions if needed.

10 Jan 20: Invited session proposals

15 Jan 20: Paper submission (for both regular and invited session papers)

15 Mar 20: Author notification

10 May 20: Final paper submission

09 Jun 20: Early bird registration

10-11 Sept 20: Workshop

  

Publications and Journals

Accepted papers that have been presented at the workshop will be published in the proceedings of the event using the open-access IFAC-PapersOnLine series hosted on ScienceDirect (https://sciencedirect.com/).

All papers presented by registered authors will be recorded as an IFAC Publication.

 

The presented papers will be further screened possible publication (as extended and revised papers) in the following journals (provisional list of journals which have agreed to consider extended papers): Computers in Industry, Control Engineering Practice, Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Annual Reviews in Control

The workshop will be held at the Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge, UK.
