which
takes place Wednesday the 8th to Friday the 10th January 2020 at The
University of Brighton. The purpose of this notice is to invite nominations
for election to the Executive Committee. The ballot papers will be sent out
28 days ahead of the AGM. To meet that deadline could nominations please be
sent to Gillian Mason (see below) by *December 5th, 2019* at the latest.

Serving on the MeCCSA Executive includes a time commitment made by those
who put themselves forward for election. Elected members attend 4-5
meetings per year. Every member also serves on one of our three
subcommittees (details of which can be found on the MeCCSA website) and
takes part in online discussions and consultations. In addition, many
members take on extra ad hoc or permanent responsibilities as these arise.

Our Executive strives to be inclusive, and we welcome nominations from
across the membership. It is standard practice to meet travel costs for
attending EC meetings and the costs of accommodation, registration and
attendance at the MeCCSA annual conference and AGM. Elected members also
benefit professionally from being involved, on an ongoing basis, in the
enhancement of our community and our field, and in engagement with policy.

Please note:

• There is no pro-forma. Nominations should simply state clearly who is
nominated. The constitution makes no stipulation as to seconding for
nominations.

• Self-nomination is permissible.
