Hello everyone,

For anyone looking to research the surge of video activism in the 70s and 80s, "Rebel Video" by Heinz Nigg is an excellent source book, filled with eye-witness accounts, and linked to a massive archive of footage which is available for free.

My review of the book can be found here: https://indyfilmlibrary.com/2019/12/13/rebel-video-2019-edited-by-heinz-nigg/

Indy Film Library also focuses on delivering crucial feedback to first time filmmakers. Submissions for our 2019/20 season are open via our site, so if you know any film-students seeking valuable notes on how to hone their craft, or if you know anyone with books on amateur/independent film coming up for publication, please put them in touch.

Kind regards,

--
