This is one of the reasons why we use buffer at MGS.

The other is obviously that big sexy 50% discount for non-profits.

Eliska, if you do decide to go for Buffer I don’t recommend upgrading to the new Analyze features. They only came out of beta a few months ago and it’s still really unreliable.

Subject: Re: Social Media Scheduling Platforms - Your Opinion

Great conversation here!

If you do decide to use a scheduling tool, I'd recommend checking if it allows you to add image descriptions for Twitter posts. Many don't, and this means images posted won't be accessible to screen reader users. You can do this in native Twitter client of course, and Tweetdeck.

Hi Eliska

It is only one image or video on Instagram on Later.

We haven't needed to use the support so far. Compared to the last scheduler we used, Orlo, this is a big improvement. We did create a breif guide to using Later for our staff.

Later's calendar view has really helped with planning campaigns and collaborating with third parties too.

Mike's point about losing the personal element is very true. Because we don't have a social media officer here things fell to myself and Helen to fit in around the rest of our work. We found posting plus being responsive and engaged on social media was creeping into evenings, weekends and holidays. Getting other staff publishing, in a controlled way our local authority is happy with, has improved our work/life balance! It's also meant we can focus more on engaging with people and hopefully getting a balance between broadcast posts and engagement.
