The University seeks an applicant able to take up either role with immediate effect, until August 2023.
The ideal candidates will have relevant practice experience within the sector to afford effective connectivity to practice and to support practice learning.
External Examiners at BGU are invited to comment on draft assessment briefs, audit samples of student work, attend examination boards and prepare an annual External Examiner Report at the close of each academic year. As such, applicants
should possess sound expertise within the subject area and have previous experience of Higher Education delivery. Previous experience of External Examining and HEA Fellowship are desirable, as is a good understanding of quality assurance processes.
The BGU Code of Practice for External Examining requires that applicants possess qualifications to the level of the programme(s) being examined or above or, where relevant, extensive practitioner experience. Moreover, applicants must not
have worked for Bishop Grosseteste University within the previous five years.
