Barts Health NHS Trust is one of Britain’s leading healthcare providers and one of the largest Trusts in the NHS with turnover of approximately £1.3 billion and 15,000 employees, serving a population of 2.5m in East London and beyond. Our hospitals offer a full portfolio of services and are home to some of Britain’s leading specialist centres including cancer, cardiac, trauma and emergency care. We also have one of the UK’s busiest children’s hospitals and internationally renowned surgical facilities. Our vision is to create a world-class health organisation with an international reputation for excellence in patient care, research and education.

The Role:

The aim of the role is to manage the Trust’s Corporate Records across all formats, including promotion of the efficient and effective management of corporate records across the organisation in accordance with statutory responsibilities and national guidance.

You will also be responsible for the Freedom of Information request service to ensure that the Trust is meeting its transparency responsibilities.

You ideally should have a post graduate qualification in Archives and / or Records Management and previous experience of working in the records management sector. Good communication and team work are essential for success in the role.

Upcoming exciting opportunities include playing a key role in redesigning corporate record services as the Trust becomes less dependent on paper records, and moves towards a digital future, and relocating the Corporate Records Centre.

You will have opportunities to work in collaboration with the Trust Archives and Health Records as well as Information Governance colleagues in your wider team plus a range of stakeholders from across the Trust with the aim of putting our patients’ needs at the heart of the work that we do.

*Interviews will be held on Monday 16 December 2019**
