Research Fellow in Operational Research/Mathematical Sciences Closing date: 2nd Dec 2019 The Operational Research group at the University of Southampton (School of Mathematical Sciences) is seeking a motivated candidate with experience in Operational Research to work as a Research Fellow on a research project funded by the National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET), the owner of the high-voltage electricity transmission network in England and Wales. The successful candidate should have a PhD in Operational Research (or similar topics), and knowledge of optimisation algorithms (either continuous or discrete). The post is fixed term with a scheduled finish date on 31 March 2021, although an extension of approximately 3 months may be possible.
