medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture Dear Meg, Good morning! On the MSS tradition of the *Regula Sancti Augustini*, see L. Verheijen, *La Règle de saint Augustin *(1967, 2 vols, including critical edition of the Latin) and his follow-up, *Nouvelle approche de la Règle de saint Augustin *(1980). There's a Latin text with facing English translation in G. Lawless, *Augustine of Hippo and his Monastic Rule *(Oxford, 1987), which also includes a lengthy discussion of the text, its date, its origin, etc. For a more recent review of the scholarship (written by Lawless), see the entry on "*Regula* (the* Rule*)" in *Augustine through the Ages *(Eerdmans, 1999), pp. 707ff. pax, Benjamin On Thu, Nov 21, 2019 at 7:54 AM Cormack, Margaret Jean <[log in to unmask]> wrote: > medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture > Hi Tom, > What is the history of the text in the link?
