The ALT Online Winter Conference 2019 is scheduled to take place 11-12 December and will attract over 400 attendees. Human Data Interaction: The Future of Skills, Education and Training

Workshop Friday 6 December 2019, 1000 - 1600, Bayes Centre (G.03), University of Edinburgh

The Human Data Interaction (HDI) Network Plus is a 3-year programme of supported workshops and funding, structured along a series of core themes related to how people interact with data-driven systems and the implications of those interactions. so far, we have successfully funded six projects on the themes of Intelligible AI and Beyond Smart Cities and we look forward to funding a further 21 projects under the banner of HDI! Skills, Education and Training is the fifth of a series of 9 workshops where we will ask participants to help us set the agenda for this call for funding and to meet others with whom they might submit a proposal.

Social Media for Learning in HE Conference 2019 (#SocMedHE19), 19 December 2019, Ormskirk  - Call for submissions and ALT Member Discount

The Social Media for Learning in HE Conference 2019 #SocMedHE19 will take place at Edgehill University on 19 December 2019. This year’s theme is ‘Pedagogy and Practice’. Closing Date for abstracts 20th November 2019. There is also a special conference rate of £35 for ALT Members, please use the ‘EHU Staff’ rate tab when booking. Call for Special Track proposals: iLRN 2020 - 6th Immersive Learning Research Network Conference (IEEE technically co-sponsored conference on VR/AR/MR/XR for learning)

The Immersive Learning Research Network (iLRN) invites the scholar community to submitting a proposal for organising a Special Track at iLRN's annual conference. Our annual conference is the premier scholarly event focusing on advances in the use of virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, and other eXtended reality (XR) technologies to support learners and learning. From 21 to 25 June 2020, leading scholars and professionals operating in formal education settings as well as those representing diverse industry sectors will converge on the historic and picturesque coastal city of San Luis Obispo, California, USA. iLRN 2020 is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Education Society, with proceedings to be submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore®.
