The department is world-renowned for developing novel methodology and applications in the field of mental health, and is rapidly expanding its clinical trials statistics group, part-funded by a recent NIHR Research Professorship award<https://www.kcl.ac.uk/news/professor-richard-emsley-awarded-nihr-research-professorship> to Professor Richard Emsley and due to the continuing success of the Mental Health Statistics group affiliated to the King's Clinical Trials Unit<http://www.ctu.co.uk/>.

A unique opportunity to be the lead post-doctoral researcher on the NIHR Research Professorship programme recently awarded to Professor Richard Emsley, that aims to deliver better clinical trials of new treatments in mental health. You will work on leading and developing research projects to promote the use of more efficient clinical trial designs, co-ordinating new initiatives to deliver these, and supervising PhD students.

An opportunity for an experienced Trial Statistician who wishes to develop in a research leadership role. The post holder will be critical in the continued expansion of the group and will be given the opportunity to work up the methodological aspects of future clinical trials, whilst having the support of senior methodological colleagues within the group. A key part of the role will be as the Trial Statistician on recently funded clinical trials investigating the effectiveness of medications in medications to improve patient care in psychiatry, psychology and neuroscience.
