Hi

We have a war memorial at Black Country Living Museum and I've had an enquiry regarding a name that appears on the 1939-45 roll call of honour section of the memorial. Before the name is the title 'A.B.' and it appears against other names.

I'm not great on military terms and did do a google search, which suggests 'A.B.' stands for Able Seaman. Does anyone out there know if this is correct please?

Thanks

Clare
