I think they are simply small modern repros of old advertising signs, made and sold as souvenirs. The Robert Opie Museum of Packaging (somewhat peripatetic in Gloucester and several London addresses) certainly used to produce them.

Does anyone have any idea as to the use of these? They are vintage-style miniature adverts, backed on a white or yellow metal (varies from piece to piece). They all measure 8cmx6cm.
Our enquirer/prospective depositor got them at a car-boot so no provenance available.
