The University of Cambridge Public Engagement with Research team is seeking an experienced Evaluator to support the public engagement training programme evaluation plan.
Evaluator: £2000 - approximately 8 days spread across 1 year. We will expect one midterm report and one final report

The Evaluator’s role is to oversee and drive evaluation of the Engaged Researcher training programme over the course of one year in collaboration with the Public Engagement (PE) team. The Evaluator will support the team to evaluate their intended outcomes as well as to develop and implement relevant strategies to best capture the impact and quality management of the training programme.

Work will include collaborating with the PE team to:

·        Refine mechanisms to capture training success in reaching its aims and objectives and to contribute to behavioural changes and personal development

·        Develop and implement strategies to capture the impact of the training programme

·        Evaluate and refine the current evaluation methods

·        Reporting on evaluation findings and input on the development of future strategies including:

o   the overall training deliveries (quality and quantity of training)

o   mapping the potential for the training to be expanded

o   tailoring of training to its stakeholders and learning cohorts

o   evaluation of the trainers and train-the-trainer opportunities

o   Evaluation of how the training portfolio fits into the wider University training portfolio

o   A brief evaluation plan with estimated costs up to £2000

o   CV or company portfolio (max. 2 sides A4)
