Below is a message from the PALA 2020 Conference Organisers about the Call for SIG proposals and the Conference website.

The organisers of the 2020 PALA conference which will be held in Aix-en-Provence from the 15 to the 19 July 2020 are now launching the Call for Special Interest Groups (SIGs).

The deadline to send a SIG proposal is the 20th November 2019. Please send your proposals to [log in to unmask] and [log in to unmask].

The call for abstracts will come shortly after we receive all the SIG proposals.

The conference website is now open (but still in construction): https://pala.sciencesconf.org/.

The Conference theme is Style and Sense(s) and the keynote lectures will be delivered by:

Dr Catherine Emmott, University of Glasgow

Professor Manuel Jobert, Université Jean Moulin – Lyon 3

Professor Jean-Rémi Lapaire, Université Bordeaux-Montaigne

Dr Louise Nuttall, University of Huddersfield

Professor Violetta Sotirova, University of Nottingham

Professor Michael Toolan, University of Birmingham

The 2020 PALA conference will be followed by a Summer School (and not preceded by, as is usually the case, because July 14th is a national bank holiday) from the 20th to 21st July 2020. The 2020 PALA Summer School will be on Creative Writing and it will be led by Professor Jeremy Scott & Dr. Sara Greaves.
