‘Volunteering: What’s Involved?’
Join CILIP South West and the Community, Diversity and Equality Group for a programme of seminars and group discussion about volunteering and the use of volunteers in library and information services.
The day will feature workshops and discussions on the practicalities, challenges, benefits and opportunities associated with the use of volunteers in library and information contexts, with parallel sessions in the afternoon focusing on different workplace
contexts tailored to attendees’ own professions.
Paul Caton, CILIP’s Relationship Manager, will also introduce the new CILIP Volunteering Hub and explore the contexts for working with volunteers.
Details of afternoon sessions are awaiting full confirmation, but will involve the opportunity for attendees to engage with the issues posed by their own professional contexts.
The day as a whole will explore these issues in relation to equality and diversity in the workplace.
