LEEDS CITY COLLEGE : QUARRY HILL CAMPUS Date: Thursday 14th November 2019 Time: 5:15pm Where: Quarry Hill Campus, Playhouse Square, Leeds LS2 7BS Followed by: post-tour social TBC In September 2019, Leeds City College opened its new £60m Quarry Hill campus in the heart of the city's Cultural Quarter. Situated next to the Leeds Playhouse theatre, the nine-story complex houses the college’s School of Creative Arts and School of Social Science. You are invited to tour inside the new development and see how the FE sector provides space and resources to support independent learning and prepare students for higher-level study. What other events would you like ARLG to host or arrange for HE/FE librarians in the region? Stay for the social in order to meet committee members and find out how you can get involved. GETTING HERE: Train: Leeds City Station is approximately a 20 minute walk away, or a five minute taxi ride. For train times and travel updates call National Rail Enquiries on 08457 484950 or visit the National Rail Website. Bus: Quarry Hill Campus is located opposite the bus and National Express coach stations. For local bus and train times, call the METROLINE information service on 0113 245 7676. Car: Please note – due to extensive ground works in the area, access to certain roads and/or car parks may be restricted. Here are some options: •John Lewis Car Park at Victoria Gate (LS2 7AS). Parking is secure and £3 after 5pm. •Local Authority street parking (for example Mabgate LS9 7DZ) is relatively cheap per hour (free after 6pm). Payment is through the Parkmobile telephone/app. •There are numerous commercial car parks in the area, but please note that the NCP carpark is particularly expensive. Check Parkopedia for details.
