Call for Expressions of Interest – Apprenticeship Assessors
Develop the future of your profession – become an apprenticeship assessor through CILIP.
End Point Assessors are responsible for evidencing the knowledge, skills and behaviours of an apprentice at the end of their apprenticeship. If you’d like to get involved in building the future of the library
and information profession through the Level 3 apprenticeship standard, read on.
CILIP is intending to become an End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) for the level 3 Library Archive and Information Apprenticeship Standard.
CILIP will need to commission assessors to conduct the final assessments for apprenticeship candidates. It is expected that this work will begin in the autumn of 2020. The Standard applies in England only
and end point assessments will be carried out at the apprentice’s workplace or training setting. Assessors will be paid for this work and travel expenses reimbursed.
Assessors will need to be based in the mainland UK and able to travel for assessments. They will also need to hold or be committed to achieving:

Chartered Members or Chartered Fellows of CILIP
·
A Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) ROF Qualification (500/9758/1).
The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) ROF Qualification (500/9758/1) is a new course that came to replace the old A1\2 and D32\33 assessor qualification. CILIP will pay for
assessors to achieve the qualification.
