Please consider submitting an abstract for  the following panel at the upcoming AAIS-AATI 2020 Conference, University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ (26-28 March, 2019).


FASCISM AND VIOLENCE IN ITALY: New approaches



Despite the vast bibliography relating to Italian fascism, violence has played a relatively minor role in research and analysis. This panel will discuss new and fresh approaches to violence before and under the fascist regime, with reference to everyday life, 'ordinary violence', threats, effects and victims, and the framing of violence by the judiciary, the police and the press.
