Dear All

Mindful that german-studies does not accept attachments, I am writing to all you knowledgeable people with a query from an acquaintance, Fred Weil. His mother was in Theresienstadt and while she was there she wrote a diary on the back of family photographs. He has sent me one by attachment – it contains ca 11 lines, written in pencil, but he has enhanced the contrast.

Unfortunately I’m afraid it is beyond my capabilities, as her handwriting is pretty difficult. If anyone enjoys a challenge and is good at deciphering, would you be willing to have a look?

I have copied Fred in, so if you are interested, could you reply-all?

Thanks and looking forward to a typically helpful german-studies response!

Naomi
