Hello Alicia,
The inputs to higher-level are the unthresholded copes, the first-level thresholding is only used to generate the individual first-level reports.

Kind Regards
Matthew

Hello FSL community,

I have been currently performing my task-based fMRI analysis using cluster thresholding; however, I am looking into using randomise and TFCE to perform my group analysis.

Currently, for my first-level analysis, in the post-stats tab in FEAT, I have been thresholding using cluster based and then performing my higher analysis, once again, using cluster-based thresholding. I understand that the first-level for all subjects needs to be performed before randomise and TFCE can be used; however, I am unsure what thresholding should be performed at first-level. Can I use the first-level cluster thresholding analysis (z=3.1, p=0.05) I have already performed on all the individual subjects or is there a recommended first-level post-stats thresholding to use before TFCE?

Thank you for all the help,

Alicia
