Lectureship in Ancient History, King's College London
The Department of Classics at King's College London is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Ancient History. The position is part-time (0.5FTE) and fixed-term (2 years and 8 months), to start on 1
January 2020. The successful candidate will join a thriving and friendly community of scholars and students, to teach over a range of historical topics; to contribute to the research life of the Department; to assist with the pastoral support of students;
and to carry out administrative duties. The Lecturer will be supported through mentoring and training opportunities to develop their career. Candidates should be a specialist in any aspect of Ancient Greek and/or Roman History. They will have a record of inspiring
teaching and a commitment to the intellectual development of the subject and its promotion through public engagement.
