Hello,

I am working on identifications for plants from a rockshelter in Belize and I have a specific type that I have not been able to securely identify. I have exhausted my comparative resources. I am hoping that someone here might have some suggestions.

These specimens are hollow, generally spherical (though sometimes ovoid) and around 6-7mm in diameter. They split cleanly in half. I almost never encounter just one, if I find any in a sample then there are typically several. See attached pictures.

I would really appreciate any help you could offer.

Best,
Heather
