Applications are invited from HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists of Clinical Scientists with a desire to work within Point of Care Testing to promote and further develop the service at DBTH.

The individual would be expected to work closely with the Trust POCT Chair and a small team of support staff to ensure the delivery and development of a high quality POCT service in line with the requirements of ISO 22870 accreditation. Good communication and organisational skills are essential to the role which will require regular interaction with Clinicians, Nurse, HCAs, Clinical Governance Leads, IT, Training and Development and Procurement staff. The post-holder is responsible for day-to-day operational aspects of the service including procurement and evaluation of equipment, management and review of EQA schemes, training, incident reporting, troubleshooting and audit. The post holder would be based primarily at Doncaster Royal Infirmary but would be expected to travel to Bassetlaw District General Hospital and Montagu Hospital in order to meet service needs.
