Dear Sana,

There is no option to use a mask in this way. What I would suggest is that you normalise your individual image to the MNI template, apply the same normalisation to the mask and then use the centroids of the mask clusters to specify the coordinates in the 'Source extraction' batch tool.

Best,

Vladimir

Dear Dr. Litvak,

Thank you for your reply.
I have some masks in native space (.nii) and want to extract source activity in desired regions. It seems that applying the mask in invert step (imaging, custom) restricts the solution space to the regions in mask. Am I true?
I want to perform whole brain source localization and extract activity for defined regions . How can I use the masks properly?
Any suggestion is appreciated.

Best regards,
Sana

Dear Sana,

In the 'Inversion results' batch module you can select the 'Output space' option as 'native'.

Vladimir

Dear SPM users,

Hi,
Is there any option in SPM to use 3D source reconstruction (imaging approach) in individuals' space rather than MNI space?
I have some masks created in subjects' space, and I want to perform source localization based on these masks.

Best regards,
Sana
