Dear all
Hope you had a good summer break.
We are delighted to announce our Standing up for Science workshop in London. We have some amazing panellists lined up for this workshop, including Angela Saini, Tom Chivers and Stephen Timms MP, and we'd love to have as many researchers as possible make use of the opportunities to learn from them.
Applications are now open and we'd love to be joined by lots of early career researchers (ECRs) from your networks.
This workshop is open to ECRs (PhD students, post-doctoral fellows or equivalents) across all STEM and social science fields and are free to attend. We combine discussion around misrepresentation of science in the media and public and how evidence influences policy with practical tips on how ECRs can start standing up for science.
It would be great if you could share these details with your ECR networks in the London and southeast regions and, indeed, around the UK. Please see our website for the workshop webpage. Here is also a link to the application form. Applicants just need to fill in the form and submit. The application deadline is 17:00 on Friday, 11th October. I’ve included a few suggested tweets for you to share the workshop:
Please contact me ([log in to unmask]) if you have any questions.
Many thanks for sharing!
Best wishes
