Hello Maureen

I think this incident may have been a low risk,  but with all these types of incident risk assessment  is the key,  each university will have differeing risk so yours need to be specific for your area, you need to remember that immunisation is not risk free,  therefore should not be given unless the risk to the employee is identified.if an employee  died due to anaphylaxis you would need to justify why you gave it

Good Morning,

We have received a request for immunisation for security officers at a university. There was an incident that happened last week were security had to deal with a rough sleeper who lost his temper shouting, saliva shooting out of his mouth. The security officer that dealt with the incident also reports he was covered with sores.

Do other universities or healthcare institutions offer immunisations to security officers?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Many Thanks
Maureen
