Hi Jo,
Your Trust will be receiving money for these placements, even if you aren’t. So its an internal discussion with whoever heads up nursing
placements and you over an increase in funding.

Subject: Query re NHS libraries accommodating additional students from universities that we have no current relationship with
Dear Colleagues,
When our placement nursing and midwifery students come on site at our Trust in the near future, they will be significantly increased in number, some of which will be from universities with whom our
library service has had no prior connection.
For those of you who may be facing a similar scenario, and experiencing difficulties in obtaining extra funding to support these students, can I ask how you are/plan to accommodate extra numbers?
Are you:
Hoping that not all of the students will join the library so that it won't become too much of an issue?
Restricting the membership rights of those who are coming from 'additional' universities?
Accommodating them all fully and finding that there are no problems?
Any other scenario???
I would appreciate your insights if you would reply to me off list please?
Many thanks
Jo
