Orphan Works are works in copyright where the right holders are unknown or cannot be traced. They present substantial challenges for the access to and use of creative, historic and culturally important content. 

 

This training course on 8 October - Orphan Works, Reasonable Searches and Risk Management - is led by one of the UK’s leading experts, Naomi Korn, and will examine the extent of the problem, the possible solutions and next steps to managing these types of copyright works.

 

This course will be of benefit to professionals working across museums, libraries and archives who are reproducing, publishing or digitising copyright works.
