Dear all,

In 2018 we shared our survey findings on the broadening scope of content researchers depend on. Now, in 2019 we asked librarians on their views on the information needs and challenges facing researchers. Read the new paper by Library Journal and ProQuest and learn how librarians perceive research databases and what they have learned from their users:

Request the Research Paper:
"The Librarian’s Point of View On the Need for Varied Content Types”: http://bit.ly/2019PQLJPaper

A snapshot of what we learned:
Library respondents are unanimous in that there are more channels than ever before for research content. They recognise that users struggle to access relevant sources and consider multi-disciplinary databases to provide the most reliable content. To take a deep dive and learn how librarians perceive the impact of varied content on delivering collections, review the full results of the new research paper.

Moving beyond linear databases:
Learn how ProQuest is constructing library resources for the real-world needs of faculty and students through human-centered design. Watch the recording of our ACRL webinar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHFuX8CQuOM&t

Best wishes,
The ProQuest Team
