INAUGURAL INFORMATION GOVERNANCE AWARDS

2019

 

Working in Information Governance can be a tough and lonely place sometimes, whether as an Information Governance professional or as someone supportive of the discipline.

 

Do you know someone who deserves recognition for their hard work?

 

The National Health and Social Care Strategic Information Governance Network (SIGN) has decided to acknowledge the work of its peers by launching Annual Awards.

 

The categories are:

 

·        Information Governance Professional of the Year (two awards will be issued, one for healthcare, one for social care)

·        Information Sharing Champion of the Year

·        Information Governance Innovator of the Year

·        Information Governance Team of the Year

·        Information Governance Human Encyclopędia

·        Outstanding Contribution to Information Governance

 

To nominate a colleague for an award, please send an email with the following information to [log in to unmask]:

 

·        Nominee’s details:

 

o   Name

o   Job title

o   Employer

o   Telephone number

o   Email address

 

(NB: For the Information Governance Team of the Year, please give the Team Lead’s details along with the names (only) of the other Team members.)

·        The category for which they are being nominated.

·        A statement of no more than 500 words explaining why they are deserving of the Award (anything in excess of this word count will be discounted).

 

Nominations open on 18 July 2019

Nominations close on 30 September 2019

Judging will take place during October 2019

Winners will be announced in early November 2019

 

The judging process will be nominee blind.

 

As this the first SIGN Awards there will not be a formal Awards Ceremony, winners will be contacted informally be member of the judging panel, ahead of the announcement being made.
