Hi Andy,
According to Dale Serjeantson (2009) physical castration of cockerels (capons) leads to longer bones as well as longer spurs. A small portion of the capons can also seemingly develop deformed spurs.
Kind regards,
Erika

Hey everyone,

Just a quick question.

Would a castrated cockerel still develop a spur?

Thanks
Andy
