As geographers seek to trouble the world in hopeful ways, many questions are raised about perceived progress in both the past and present world. From the deep insights into intricate biopolitical assemblages of gender, race, and class in Elaine Stratford’s Home, Nature and the Feminine Ideal: Geographies of the Interior and of Empire, to Race in Post-Racial Europe: An Intersectional Analysis by Stefanie C. Boulila and its capturing of the political zeitgeist of the post-race moment, Rowman & Littlefield International is delighted to launch these two publications and their own unique examinations of geographies of hope and trouble.

The launch will be a great opportunity to meet Stefanie and Elaine and their books will also be available at an exclusive discount for those who attend. Everyone is welcome and there will also be some wine and food.

Please visit rowmaninternational.com to read more about the books.

There will be further discussion of Home, Nature and the Feminine Ideal: Geographies of the Interior and of Empire in an author meets critics session on Friday 30 August at 11.10 (room TBC) – all are welcome to attend.
