Oh gosh what a minefield! Not OH though, people unfortunately do die when undertaking endurance sports, sport science and medicine highly specialised fields.  How risk factors are identified in the fit and healthy would have to be very  prescrptive and i think the liability/indemnity issues would be complex. I would steer clear

Is this race for work or something people do in their spare time? If it’s not work related then I don’t think you need to do anything . It’ll be worth seeing what others say if it is work related .
