Afternoon all,

Can anyone advise?

We have a patient/public information flyer that is about searching for good quality health information on the intranet, which needs to be reviewed.

In it we used to refer to the Information Standard logo, as something to look out for to help identify if a health information website meets the Information standard.

I have heard mixed things that the Information Standard is no longer correct, or is being reviewed.

On NHS England’s Information Standard webpages I cannot seem to find any information about the logo, or rather more specifically if it is still current or not.

Does anyone else refer to the health Information Standard logo? Is it still a relevant thing to tell people to look out for when trying to find quality health information?

If you don’t refer to the logo – do you mention the Information Standard at all in any patient/public advice flyers?

The NHS England website suggests a possible statement of commitment that organisations may wish to use to show their dedication to applying the principles of the standard mentioned. (See: https://www.england.nhs.uk/tis/about/the-info-standard/useful-resources/). I think a statement won’t be as easy as the previous logo was/is, for a member of the public to find on a website.

In advice flyer, would you mention looking for a commitment statement as a way to identify good quality information?

Thanks in advance,
