The Department of Clinical Sciences and Nutrition at the University of Chester is currently seeking to appoint an external examiner for the MSc in Obesity and Weight Management.

The programme includes modules on diet, exercise, behaviour change, public health and health research methodologies/projects. Specialties in any of these areas may be appropriate to be an external examiner.   The programme is run as an intensive 1 year full-time or 2-4 year part-time masters. The post will require the moderation of scripts, examination board attendance (normally in November, and potentially three more briefer in-year boards), potential consultation on programme modifications, and the completion of a short annual report.  The appointment will start from October 2019 for a tenure of three with possible option to extend to four academic years. 

All appointments are subject to meeting the University’s criteria for the appointment of external examiners. The appointment will be remunerated in accordance with the University’s external examiner fee schedule.  In addition, travel, subsistence and accommodation costs will be reimbursed.
