Subject: Risk of bias in observational studies

Dear list members,
I have done some searching for risk of bias critical appraisal tools for studies of prevalence and risk of disease. There are so many out there!
Any suggestions for a Best Buy? Seriously, does anyone have a reference that comes out with a result stating which are more reliable or know which is most widely used?

Here are some references that disrespect existing tools

Sanderson S, Tatt ID, Higgins JP. Tools for assessing quality and susceptibility to bias in observational studies in epidemiology: a systematic review and annotated bibliography. Int J Epidemiol. 2007;36:666-676.
