For those of you who kindly wrote expressing sympathy to my family, I am glad to recall what Mark Twain famously once said, "the reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated". Of course thanks to the net, we know that most of us share a name with far flung others. But how many are educators almost exactly the same age who shared a strong interest in the future and social betterment? Sad indeed when a fulfilled life ends. Go for the gusto and carpe diem.
