Thanks Janine.

Should I have equal number of participants from each group or each session? Or all the participants, all sessions would work?

Thanks,
Sara

Hi Sara,

I would personally recommend running group ICA once on all of your subjects & sessions. You'll want all your comparisons to be based on the same set of networks, and I don't see any issue with bias.

Best wishes,

Janine

Hi,

I am working on a resting state study that I have three groups (typically developing, Children with Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) in treatment group, and children with DCD in waitlist group). Typically developing children are scanned twice (6 month apart) and children with DCD in treatment and waitlist groups are scanned three times (every 3 months). I need to run a few different analysis to look at the effect of intervention, maturation, and follow up. I was wondering if I can run Group ICA only once with all my data (all participants, all sessions) and then run dual regression and palm on different sub-groups of the data as necessary. Does it make sense or should I run group ICA every single time for each different sub-group?

Thanks,
Sara
