The Faculty of Management, Law and Social Sciences, School of Management at the University of Bradford are seeking dedicated individuals to undertake the role of External Examiner for our postgraduate programme in Finance, Accounting and Management and Finance, Accounting and Economics related modules across our MSc postgraduate taught programmes and MBA provision. Duties to commence in September 2019.

 

We are particularly interested in Examiners for the following subject areas:

 

Business Economics

Corporate Financial management

Contemporary issues in Accounting and Finance

Strategic Management Accounting

International Finance

Asset Pricing

 

The appointee will be required to moderate a sample of work, produce an annual report and attend Boards of Examiners as appropriate. An overview of your role and responsibilities includes:

• confirming that the assessment process in its entirety is sound, and has been fairly conducted with full regard to justice to students;
• confirming the comparability of standards of student performance at University of Bradford with those of similar modules at other UK Institutions of Higher Education;
• reporting and advising on the above by means of approving coursework and examination papers and providing an annual report to the University.

 

Any appointment made is subject to approval by the University's scrutiny process and is for a 4 year period.  You should not hold more than one other UK Higher Education External Examiner post at the start of the contract and be qualified to at least the level of the programme to be examined.
