The Faculty of Management, Law and Social Sciences, School of Law at the University of Bradford are seeking dedicated individuals to undertake the role of External Examiner for our suite of undergraduate LLB programmes and modules to commence duties in September 2019:

We are particularly interested in Examiners with experience of the following subject areas:

All seven law foundation subjects and a range of commercial, criminal and social justice orientated law modules eg.

Commercial Law	Law Social Justice & Sustainability	Criminal Law
Employment Law	Human Rights	Law of Evidence
Business Law & Ethics	Family Law	International Criminal Law
Company Law	Law of Succession	Crime & Society
Banking & Finance Law	Immigration & Asylum	Dissertation
Contract Law	Law in the Community 2 (Law Clinic)	Law for Expert Witnesses
Tort	EU & International Law	Introduction to Law (Lv 3)
Intellectual Property Law	Equity & Trusts	Land Law

The appointee will be required to moderate a sample of work, produce an annual report and attend Boards of Examiners as appropriate. An overview of your role and responsibilities includes:

confirming that the assessment process in its entirety is sound, and has been fairly conducted with full regard to justice to students;
confirming the comparability of standards of student performance at University of Bradford with those of similar modules at other UK Institutions of Higher Education;
reporting and advising on the above by means of approving coursework and examination papers and providing an annual report to the University.

Any appointment made is subject to approval by the University's scrutiny process and is for a 4 year period. You should not hold more than one other UK Higher Education External Examiner post at the start of the contract and be qualified to at least the level of the programme to be examined.
