27 July 1919. Large scale race riots in the country's third largest city. Violent interracial clashes resulted in 38 dead, 537 injured, and 1,000 rendered
homeless. The spark for these riots had been a trivial incident when a Black person swam into a part of the city's recreational lake area that
White people had claimed as ‘their’ preserve.

Guess which country this was in?

No, not South Africa.

Not 'British' India.

The city in question was Chicago.
