I’m very sorry to hear that you’ve also encountered this error with the save feature on Cochrane Library. Our developers are treating as a critical issue and we’re trying our best to fix it quickly.

 

Can you please confirm for me if, before you tried to save your strategy, you used the Search Tab to send search terms to the Search Manager (as in my screenshot)? If yes, then please use the Search Manager tab to construct searches while we work to fix this problem. And please note the “S” button in the Search Manager will allow you to use the field label drop-down menu (as in the Search Tab).

 

If you did not use the Search Tab to send terms to the Search Manager, then it is possible the session timed out before you selected to save. Refreshing the page and prompting the site to log you in again should fix this problem.

 

Please let me know if either of these workaround solutions allow you to save your searches again or if you’re still encountering this problem. Thanks,

Apologies for cross-postings.

 

We’ve recently confirmed problems with Cochrane Library’s save/print/edit functions for queries constructed in the Search tab and sent to the Search Manager tab (as below).

Thank you to the customers who reported and helped us to diagnose the problem. We’ve prioritized as a critical issue that will be fixed within the next 2 weeks.

 

For customers who prefer to search Cochrane Library using the method above, please try a new feature in the Search manager tab that will allow you to use the same drop-down menu with field labels as in the Search tab (see below). This approach will also work while we are fixing the problem noted above.

 

 

Many thanks again to the members of our librarian community for sharing their experiences searching Cochrane Library. We greatly appreciate your feedback and assistance.
