Understanding the practical aspects of copyright is essential for any organisation reproducing, creating, sharing, publishing and commissioning content. This comprehensive full-day course organised by CILIP and run by Naomi Korn Associates, is designed for practitioners or business people to help them understand how they can use content created by others and protect and use their own rights.
By attending this event delegates will:

  * Understand the basic principles of copyright and identify what types of work are protected by copyright.
  * Establish authorship, ownership and duration of copyright in different types of work.
  * Examine other types of Intellectual Property Rights and what they protect.
  * Identify the differences between assignments and licences.
  * Review key hot topics in copyright, including social media, Creative Commons licences and finding content you use for free.
  * Discuss how to manage infringements and consider how to protect their own rights.
Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment
