Dear all,

This year’s Down Syndrome Research Forum is being held at UCL Institute of Education, London, UK on Monday/Tuesday 16th/17thSeptember 2019 and hosted by Dr Jo Van Herwegen and the Child Development and Learning Difficulties lab in the department of Psychology and Human Development.

If you would like to present at this year’s Forum, please submit a 200 word abstract to [log in to unmask]  by June 30th 2019. The abstract should contain the title, names of all authors, contact details of first author,  and summary of your presentation.

This guideline is informal as we receive a range of different types of submission. The Committee will review abstracts and will publish the full programme by 19thof July 2019.

We welcome presentations of research work in progress as well as of completed work. We also welcome presentations from practitioners who may wish to share their experiences of using particular interventions or to share service models. Single case studies are welcome.

We are keen to continue to develop this Forum as a place where families, practitioners and researchers can share expertise and learn from each other. As such, we ask to focus on work that has a direct relevance to the lives of those with Downsyndrome and their families as well as practitioners and professionals working with individuals with Down syndrome. We welcome individual submissions but we would also welcome any suggestions for symposia if you wish to organise one.

If you are new to the Forum see details at https://www.down-syndrome.org/en-gb/research/forum/

Hope you will join us in September - the Forum grows each year and is a great place to make links.

Please pass on to colleagues who may wish to join us.

Many thanks,

Jo (on behalf of the Down Syndrome Research Committee)
