£40,792, rising annually to £44,559 Full Time, Permanent - Professional Services Oxford Brookes University is committed to the advancement of equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI). It seeks to be a genuinely inclusive organisation, and draws for this on good practice throughout the higher education sector and beyond with a view to integrating the principles of equal treatment and the promotion of diversity into all aspects of the University's day-to-day life.
To help further develop the EDI framework for students, we have created a new role of Student EDI Manager. You will bring established skills and experience in this field and will liaise with senior staff to create policies and establish best practice relating to students from underrepresented and other relevant groups.
As Student Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager you will:
- Work collegiately with colleagues from across the University to identify and act on priorities to improve the experience of specific groups of students
- Analyse data and produce reports and recommendations for further development
- Define and create new roles within your team to enhance specific areas of specialised support for students
You should have:
- Widespread and proven experience in developing policies and good practice in the field of equality, diversity and inclusion
- Experience of line management in a Higher Education or EDI-related environment
- A thorough understanding of methods for quantitative and qualitative data analysis
Interviews are expected to take place on Thursday 1st August 2019.
