Fixed-term Lectureship in German

Applications are invited for a Fixed-term Lectureship in German at Worcester College and Lady Margaret Hall, tenable for three months from 1 October to 31 December 2019. The lecturer will be required to teach German language classes as well as a wide range of topics from the modern period for 12 hours per week during term for the two colleges (6 hours for each college). The lecturer will also be expected to assist with the administration of German studies at both colleges, including participation in the admissions process and undertaking the pastoral care of students.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Arts single or joint honours degree in German and be close to completing, or have completed, a doctoral degree in German.

Stipend will be in the range of £27,025-£30,395 p.a pro rata. Benefits include the use of a teaching room in Worcester College, and to Senior Common Room membership, with free lunches and dinners when the kitchens are open.
