Lauren,

Please forgive my error in my last post. I think I used your surname as a forename. I’m terribly sorry (and obv, my own lab are enjoying my faux pas and my discomfort).

The offer of a Jaffe cake still stands.

Pitt.

Suggest you try measuring creatinine on a Radiometer ABL blood gas analyser if you have access to it (note you have to correct serum/plasma creat with a factor as described in the manual). Due to its filter technology we found that this method is not interfered by the usual culprits such as H/I/L and maybe other compounds as well. See attached poster

Kind Regards,

Rita

Hi

I'm wondering if any laboratories are still running the Jaffe method for creatinine measurement in serum/plasma?

We are looking for a lab to run one sample for us due to potential interference with our enzymatic method.

Thanks
